Unabridged delegate feedback

  • Nick Ross's interviewing and questioning was excellent. He asked insightful questions and was able to persuade the presenters to elaborate on key areas
  • Overall, good conference. Impressive for our clients
  • The day was well-balanced and it was interesting to hear views from standard setters and dissenting views. Nick Ross was excellent.
  • As almost all attendees are accountants, maybe you should consider different timing as the first week of October is the heart of quarter end reporting. The auditors are in our office and we are here
  • Nick Ross was excellent!
  • Moderating by Nick Ross was very good and challenging, demonstrating a high understanding of the subject matter
  • It was fantastic to be given the presentation material in the form of a memory stick and not a massively heavy ring binder file. Please could this continue for all future similar events
  • The interviewing format of presentations was a good choice. Nick Ross was an excellent facilitator
  • Nick Ross did a great job of pulling the whole thing together and adding a down-to-earth approach. A very useful and interesting day – thank you!
  • I thought Nick Ross did a great job of facilitating and linking the sessions. He really got everyone involved
  • Timing was terrible as in the middle of Q3 reporting
  • Nick Ross did a superb job! Keep him next year
  • Liked getting all the presentations on a memory stick
  • Very knowledgeable speakers
  • Nick Ross was excellent, made the day go quickly and answered useful questions
  • Nick Ross was an excellent moderator
  • Moderator was excellent. Seemed to be very knowledgeable on topics being discussed
  • Seminar would do better as a two day course with more time for Q&A. Also, it would be less likely to fall behind schedule
  • Use of moderator was very helpful
  • Nick seemed to have a good grasp of the issue, but was able to moderate much better than an “accountant/auditor” could have
  • The interview formats worked very well and helped break things up
  • Nick Ross was very good
  • Short on practical advice
  • Could do with a conference on practical issues
  • Very good moderation
  • Nick Ross was a fantastic moderator
  • Coffee on tables please
  • Food and lunch facilities were terrible
  • Some of the speakers were pretty boring
  • Amazing how Nick Ross made it sound like he, as well as everyman, is keenly interested in what to most are very boring and geeky topics
  • Nick Ross was superb. He chaired it well, got to the hub of the views and got people talking/expressing their views
  • Good overview but a little bit more detail would be better (tax, pension etc)
  • Number of people is too large
  • We heard from Regulators, we heard from the regulated (CFO of BP amongst others) but we didn't hear from the users…how about including a speaker from the investment community (Pension Fund or similar) and let them give us their view on FASB/IASB?
  • Fantastic event: quality of the speakers, content and organisation was impressive
  • Client feedback from BP and Centrica was extremely good
  • Presentations from Jack, Mike, Allister and others were great
  • Nick Ross was amazing, the way he picks up the technical issues was impressive
  • Some of the sessions had to be rushed because we were behind schedule. Question then becomes: do you do it over 2 days or do you have a less full agenda?
  • The conference was excellent. I've been going for 10+ years and this was the best ever!
  • I had lots of clients/ex-clients there who all seemed to find it very interesting and thought-provoking
